"...Dark Circus comes across like the mutant hybrid of Rob Zombie and Iron Maiden... Make no mistake, Dark Circus is one heavy album... one which delivers more than a few surprises..." Ryan Ro, The Phantom Tollbooth "...The band has a dirtier, heavier and more updated sound, incorporating heavier metal subgenres like thrash..." Marco Overvest, Art For The Ears "...Dark Circus is a very strong album that delivers a powerful message. Concentrating on the music, the listener experiences a clever infusion of studio wizardry and good old-fashioned heavy rock/metal with pace, rhythm, great songs, great guitar and great vocals..." Alex Torres, Sea Of Tranquility "...Overall, a very solid release leaping large bounds over their previous two, and should garner them even more attention..." Jeff McCormack, HM Magazine
YoungSide Records is proud to be partnering with Australia's Darkwave Metal Band in the release of their much anticipated second full-length album "Dark Circus".
After the success of their EP, Witch Hunt (2006), and Limited Edition full-length release, Preaching To the Perverted (2008), TEMPLAR is ready to unleash their second full-length project – DARK CIRCUS.
When asked about the inspiration behind the new album, Ralph Dix said: “DARK CIRCUS was inspired as a result of an idea due to some of the songs vibe and a theme. Satan has sold the world a charade and governments, secret societies and religion are giving us the show of our lives, TEMPLAR felt the need to say it like it is.”
Their "say it like it is" attitude has received a lot of respect in the metal scene as well as a lot of criticism from the conservative and the "go along to get along groups" who have labeled TEMPLAR as politically incorrect, subversive and rebellious and lacking respect for government… and TEMPLAR’s response… “All of the above applies”
