Kaimana's music is today - Hip Hop/Rap/Pop Rock – but his lyrics call for reforms in the church that put him squarely in company with 16th century reformers like Luther and Calvin. "The goal is to bring reform to individuals, family, church, and society through music that carries a strong message with an edge," Sowers says. "Many of our problems today have similarities to the church of the 16th century.”

Sowers founded and fronted the Hard Rock/Rap band, Junker Jorg in 1999, recording two projects, "Diet Of Worms" (2000 Cellar Records/YoungSide Records) and “Ignite The Machine” (2002 YoungSide Records).

Sowers returned to his hip-hop/rap roots in 2003 under the name Kaimana, and released "Hawaiian Punch" with YoungSide Records.
