The Awakening mix a cool low-end goth sound with some techno additives to produce an overall heavy tone. The low-end sometimes Peter Steele / sometimes David Bowie vocal sounds fit extremely well with the slow and swirling music. Ashton Nyte, the voice and creative force for The Awakening, is quite prolific with his continuing flow of new projects.
